When Trev left, I was happy....

Three years later, I deal with lisps and slobber on the desk...

At least Trev had a solid opinion, shitty as it may have Bern...

Are you fricking kidding me, May has always said good things about LSU when there was good things to say about LSU. During 2007, even when we lost games, he still had LSU as his top ranked teams.

This.

I could never understand rantards who say M. May talked bad about LSU

May and holt gave this team and miles props after the UF win. Basically said this team will continue to find a way to win. And that Les miles is a winner plain and simple.

They give props to LSU when it's due. A lot of people on here have very short memories.

He rode LSU that entire season man. Never picked against us, not one time.

Are you kidding me??? He picked Auburn to beat LSU that year! He kept talking about how Caddy & Brandon Jacobs would run all over LSU's D before the game! I specifically remember "If they can't get Cadillac going, they have big Brandon Jacobs ready to go and I love a big boy on a wet track." He was aaaaalllll over Auburn's jock before that game. Mark May was a token member of the USC over LSU bandwagon club that year.

quote:

I can't remember the fellows name who was working beside him back then. But the fellow kept saying there's no way LSU beats UGA, a second time, in the Georgia Dome.

You're right here. Trev Alberts was very high on the Bulldogs all year. He wouldn't shut up about how lucky LSU was to win the first game and that they would get punched in the mouth in the GA Dome. He hate his fricking words after the SECCG.

I think Mark May does very good job. He seems to give us our due and when we are not doing well he tells it like it is. Lou Holts however is a POS

Lou Holtz really shouldn't have that job if he can't talk objectively about Notre Dame. May is an arrogant a-hole, but he's the best analyst they have.

Yeah, if you believe that's all they do, then you might be also interested in buying this great bridge I own in NYC.

Trev refused to go along with the brass at the network and promote USC as the greatest of all time. He fought his producers and lost. There is a reason that the letter "E" is first in their acronym, and old Trev said he was going to give it to us straight and not tow the company line.

How do you know this to be true? Serious question. This sounds interesting.

May is one of the best TV commentators on college football. He was an outstanding player himself, and provides good, reasoned analysis for the most part. He's less entertaining than some of the other commentators, but more informative.

Sorry, but Brandon Jacobs was 4 years removed from Auburn in 2007. Auburn didn't have "a big boy on a wet track" that year. Maybe that's why they lost.

We're talking about 2003. And he did in fact say this right before the game during the lightening delay. I have the game on DVD from Ole Mac and I've watched this game about 4 times.

Edit: I have to give May credit though. He picked LSU to beat UGA both times much to the dismay of Trev Alberts.

Brandon Jacobs played at Southern Illinois. You must be thinking about Ronnie Brown.

How do some of you always come to some conclusion that everyone in the media hates LSU. They were saying the exact things that we as fans thought of this team. This is not a Pee Wee league where they are supposed to kiss our arse 24/7. They are sports analyst, they watch games and do their job by commenting on things that they see.

Because some people only see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear. That trait is almost always something they pick up from their parents or whoever raised them.

You couple that with a healthy dose of self righteousness and there you have it.

These are also the loudest people in the room whenever a conversation is taking place.

They think that yelling makes them right.

Then who's that all the way to the left next to Ronnie & Caddy?

This was after he left Auburn. He simply couldn't get onto the field ahead of Brown and Williams.

Scary.
