I know PP was penalized for that little Heisman pose Saturday night, but it was pure genius. He has single handedly thrust LSU into the national spotlight. Before his statuesque stance, no one was talking about LSU, but now the Tigers are the talk of the national media, and Peterson is front and center.

Have you ever seen a single player bring more press to an otherwise under the radar team? When Glen Dorsey was getting a lot of press he was on a national championship team that people were already talking about. PP is on a team with a lot of question marks, and he's forcing people to take notice. I've never seen anything like this at LSU. I love it!

He is the cornerstone and image of a dominant defense. Everyone in the national media is questioning our poor offensive numbers, and pointing to the defense as the reason we are 4-0. Peterson's touchdowns are key in games, and it's so exciting. Doing the pose was perfect and you know that Miles and the other coaches loved it. It's great for recruiting and brings all kinds of positive attention to the program.

PP is the man

Peterson gives LSU "star" appeal, making the team more appealing to TV.

Peterson's hype-machine will go through the roof if UF beats Bama this weekend (assuming LSU handles UT). The Swamp matchup would be uber-hyped, as opposed to the ordinary hype it will get if UF comes in off a loss to Bama.

Yes, a lot of question marks.

• Can a quarterback emerge?
• Are LSU's wide receivers really good?
• Will LSU's defense hold up against the likes of Florida, Arkansas and Alabama?
• Is Russell Shepard going to develop into the player we all expect him to become?
• Has LSU really played anyone yet?
• Can the offensive coaching staff get the offense on track?

Are those enough questions for you?

I can come up with questions like that for every team in the top 10. We have one true question mark. Don't be lame.

Props to LSU at hyping him as well. This really helps recruiting. Kids like to see the athletes at the schools they are considering getting promoted by said school.

Not really. You know what you're going to get with Bama and Florida. Florida answered a lot of questions this week. You still don't really know what you've got with LSU. There are a lot of questions. You can simplify and say its all QB, but I still am not sure about a lot of things with this team. I'm just sayin'.

Did they though? I am not sure a good game against UK wipes out 3 weeks of misery for that offense.

+1. QB and WR and whateverthafrick Gary Crowton is doing are our only true questions.

PP has made LSU more fun to watch this season than any other player of any team I've ever been a fan of. Watch that highlight clip on Youtube:

While everyone is complaining about the quarterback situation on Rant, I'm reading UT coach and WR say they're gonna kick to/throw at #7 and I'm just giddy waiting for the game to come on.

Waiting for a punt to Peterson reminds me of the Eddie Kennison experience.

Well, they looked a hell of a lot better against KY then they did against Miami of Ohio, South Florida and Tennessee. I know those teams are soooo much better than Kentucky, but let's face it... Florida improved on Saturday. They had an offensive player emerge (Burton), and they have fixed a lot of the center QB exchanges that plagued them early in the season. They are getting better on offense while we are getting worse. I'd say that's answering some questions, wouldn't you?

Yes, it was a penalty, but I cannot think of a better situation for 'the pose'. The fans loved it, came at an appropriate time (appeared we were ready to blow out WVU) and the national exposure from it was very big; it essentially put LSU on the map this year.

While this is of concern for us, & it's not like our offense is going to 'wake up' anytime soon, we just have to take it week to week. All I care about right now is a win over the Vols...Florida can wait another week...
