Well yeah its bad for the waist. Especially that sugar filled shite on top. Empty calories on top of empty calories...but hey...you only live once.

I haven't taken any Vitamin C, but one of the perks of being unemployed is if you feel "bad" (or just feel like it) you can just go to sleep whenever you want. So, I've been doing a lot of that, which probably mitigates the effects somewhat. On the topic of alcohol, my living situation makes it nearly impossible to not end up having a drink, so being a realist, I'm fixing to go to Spec's and get some liquor to replace the beer with. Vodka/soda or maybe just some quality bourbon/whiskey straight up.

I drank less than half a cup of coffee and I've read the same research note (~5 paragraphs, not long) 6 times in the last hour without getting through it once. Lack of focus a sign of induction flu?

Not everyone has a tough time getting into ketosis. My first time I felt bad the third night but that was it. I don't have it bad, a little weakness and feeling claims. Some people feel just awful. You may be more like me than some others. Lack of focus can definitely be a sign if accompanied by some general lack of energy.

I woke up at 2 PM and could easily see myself falling asleep by 9 while I watch DVR'd soccer. I have pretty much no appetite at the moment either despite only eating some of this broccoli/mushroom/veggie cheese casserole I made last night.
eta: And I wouldn't say I feel "terrible" by any stretch I just don't feel "normal." I feel like I've been up for 2 days straight (I actually know what that feels like pretty well).

I've been in and out of induction for almost 3 years and I don't think I've ever had the induction flu.
The waste factory gets a bit slow and needs a kick every now and then, but never sick stomach.

Yep. By the 4th day you should feel right as rain. You are hitting a point where your body is looking for carbs and has none to use for energy, so it's forced to go into ketosis.. until that happens you will feel drained.

It actually went away like 3 hours ago. I just drank a bunch of water and it more or less dissipated. Who knows. Doing good though, had leftover broccoli/mushroom casserole for lunch and a chicken salad with half an avocado, half a tomato, some bacon, and the redneck's favorite (ranch). No drinks.

Debating whether to stick with a Cadfast today. Got lunch in thirty minutes and I'm starving. I think I'm going to try and listen to my body more when it comes to the cadfasts. Some days I can fast and I don't really get hungry at all until near the end. Whereas there are days like today where it's 10:15 in the morning and I'm starving.

Here's a good article for you guys that are on plateaus. There's nothing in here that you didn't already know but it is all sensible and a good reminder.

I don't normally cut the calories so low but I'm trying to make up for the ice cream incident.

What is your resting metabolic rate?
Posted on 3/6/13 at 10:17 am to Rohan2Reed
No idea. I've been on a diet for 3 years as of march 16. I imagine my metabolism is all screwed up.
Posted on 3/6/13 at 10:18 am to TigerMyth36
that's something you should find out. it's good to know how many calories you burn simply by doing nothing. the range can be pretty big depending on age, height, weight and BMI.

I think the bmr and tdee scales are screwed up. My tdee is around 3200 so according to experts I should eat about 2200-2500 cals a day. But of i do, I put on weight with or without carbs. I have to max myself at 1700 or 1800 to lose. Or maybe I just have an unnaturally slow metabolism, who knows
