Nice!

Today's Temptation List

1.King Cake
2.Candied Pecans
3.Free Lunch - Hamburger steak and mashed potatoes

1 and 3 really didn't tempt me much but I do love those darn pecans. 3 does smell pretty good at the moment but I can't cheat.

This contest is going to be tough. One big guy is already down 10! Meanwhile I'm stuck on a dang plateau at the start of the diet which makes no sense to me.

someone brought in left over brownies and cookies from her super bowl party. I emailed her that she was evil and left that shite to the people with less willpower than me.

I have decided to take the advice of those here who have been in my shoes and have reduced my calorie intake goal to 1800 per day. Just under 800 remaining for the day.

For you guys that eat a good bit of salad while doing low calorie intake...what kind of dressing do you use? I've seriously never ate much of anything other than Ranch dressing. I did try some "light" Italian today which was a packet (from Chick-fil-a) that had 25 calories in the whole thing, the ranch had 280 (more than the salad itself). It wasn't the best in the world, but it was better than nothing.

With Atkins, I'm not concerned about fat so most regular dressings are fine. In fact lowfat are worse because they have added sugar.

I started just using olive oil and red wine vinegar until I got tired of that.

Now I just use a little mayo and sriracha. For the contest I might get back to olive oil and red wine vinegar. It has a few more calories but it knocks out all of the sodium.

indeed...I did atkins one time probably 8ish years ago or so, and like you didn't worry about it then. I'm just trying to calorie count. thus, I need to stick with a more low calorie dressing as opposed to who gives a shite about calories just give me protein/avoid carbs route. As much as I loved the Atkins stuff because, meat frick yeah, I transitioned off of it terribly and don't think I could really do that again.

I've always counted calories on Atkins. Even Atkins finally changed and said you needed to count calories.

I keep it 1500 or lower.

Good question about the salad dressing. I've always wondered what was a good dressing to get on my salads. I always usually just go with ranch, but try to use as little as possible. I guess I should switch to Italian or just vinegar?

It probably has some bread crumbs but it is LOADED with salt. All of the food from this place has insane levels of sodium.

Even if I eat their baked chicken and have a salad, I gain weight from the massive sodium spike.

People starting to tell me not to lose anymore weight, but I still have some fat I need to lose. I need to start working out and gain some muscle I guess.

That is definitely good although I leave out the pinch of sugar.

ingredients in a ball jar or ziploc. shake it up.

LE's formula with dijon instead of spicy creole but either way is good.

Contest Starting Weight - 195.8
Competition Loss - 3.6
Day 8 of 90
Yesterday's Calorie Count - 1350

I've still got a sore throat and runny nose so I'll probably hit the fruit basket again today.

No happy with the first week numbers. Usually I lose more the first week when I start hitting Atkins hard.
