Coach Miles has lost 15 games in 5 and 1/4 years.

15 loses:
2005: Lost 2 games:
1 in OT following Katrina to TN.
2. Ga. Dogs Beat down in SEC Champ game after playing 12 straight games. Team looked flat and tired. Post Katrina I feel.

2006:
1.3-7 to Auburn with some questionable officiating
2.3-10 to Florida in the Swamp with 5 TO and still in the game in the 4th Qtr. Questionable call on Hester not getting a TD.

2007: 2 games in triple OT
1. 6 pts to KY
2. 2 pts to R-Kansas

2008: No Defense with Co-Coordinators
1. Bama in OT after 3 INTs by Lee
2. Ar-Kansas 21-20 after most of the team quit following the OT Bama loss. Last play of game win for Hogs.
3. Ga. Dogs after a 3 INTs and 2 returned for TD
4. Gators in the Swamp after many INTs BEAT DOWN. Worst in Miles era.
5. Ole Miss. Team had quit after the Bama loss.

2009: Can't run or pass block
1. 3-13 Gators. In the game despite no offense. Questionable no-call on offensive pass interference led to only TD for Gators.
2. 15-24 Bama questionable no call on INT. Tigers lost both starting QB and RB Scott in 3rd Qtr.
3. 23-25 Ole Miss. We know the story with clock mgt. Tigers still had a chance to win despite having been TOTALLY OUTPLAYED the entire game.

He wins ugly, but the man wins. Out of the 15 games lost 4 in OT and 2 of those in triple OT.

Never lost to ULL, UL-Monroe, UAB etc...
Coach Miles made changes after the disaster in 2008 with the defense and I am confident he will do the same after the season regarding GC.

But we need to fire Miles now, because if we wait, he might win games and we'll be "stuck with him".

the problem is no changes are occurring this year during the season. this team is special and has a chance to be really good with an average offense. most fans are frustrated by his stubbornness to make a change. it cannot be worse than what we have.

edit: my comments are referring to the passing game. obviously we have great d, special teams, and running game.

This has absolutely no bearing on the current offensive disaster.

So it is OK to continue to make messes with his hiring decisions as long as he cleans the messes up?

So, when I get home and Slackster Jr. has colored the wall with Powerman stick figurines, as long as Jr. cleans it up, I cannot discipline him?

BS.

A lot of the losses may be close, but a ton of them were directly caused by terrible coaching.

Just an example:

The score's wrong.. but it wasn't a last play of the game win. Once again there was some terrible play calling on our final drive that started with great field position and we ended up attempting a joke of a 63 yard field goal.

No it doesn't. But if you expect him to fire GC mid-season you are going to be very disappointed. Won't happen, not in his DNA and probably won't change much. Offense will improve during the season since it (passing) can't get much worse.

So you want to discipline Les Miles, how?

I noticed you didn't break down our win/losses in the SEC since 2008. very convenient. I imagine you can take Coker's record at The U and make similar talking points.

Whats amazing is he is doing it with a 115th ranked offense. Once I get over being absolutely pissed beyond all insanity, and pukeing all my guts up, I realize how lucky that guy really is to be 4-0.

Yep. Look at the U since they fired the guy. Too much knee jerk reaction in today's world. Look at Penn State a few years ago. I personally thought, and still do, think its time for Joe Pa to retire, but he has won 11 games the last 2 years.

The Coker reference has become silly IMO. Miles is much more similar to Mack Brown than he is to Coker. Fortunately for Mack Brown, however, is the Big12 is much more easy to navigate than the SEC on a long-term basis.

Is Miles a great coach? Probably not, and that's where the fears are with most LSU fans at the moment, and that is exacerbated by the fact that one of our main division rivals does indeed have a great coach, not to mention our permanent Eastern opponent also has one of the best in the business at the moment.

The program will never "crumble" under Miles. He recruits too well and is too good of a "program manager." That said, a consistent 8-4/9-3 is not going to cut it with most of us, and therin lies the fears for most of us. Anyone expecting LSU to collapse is in for a disappointment, because it's simply not going to happen under Miles' leadership the next few years. Hell, the last two years have arguably been the worst two seasons of the decade for LSU, yet we still rank 3rd in the SEC in wins in that timespan.

All that said, I still think LSU has the potential to win an SEC title this year or next year, and if that happens, the Miles critics will be silenced forever.

well frick, let's just keep giving miles chances with making the wrong hires with coordinators. when will the time come when miles is actually held responsible. i mean he's only making 4 mill a year.

you actually think Miles is doing a great job? This ship has been sinking since 2008. I can come up with a pattern of crap since 2008 on why we could justify the firing.

IDK, fire him?

I am sure a few good lawyers for LSU could prove that he is in violation of breach of contract for not doing due diligence when hiring his coordinators.

The Miles Haters do not want to hear anything positive that the man may have done.

Not really, i feel like people genuinely dislike the guy. it is proven cus someone has already brought up how much money he makes. And yet these idiots would shell out that much money to anyone as long as it wasnt les miles.
