the RP saga is the most used excuse by the pumpers. Fwiw, we had since 2005 to recruit other quality quarterbacks. Good programs recruit a decent qb every year and about every few years go after a stud. The bigger problem is that the staff hasn't done an effective job of developing what we have. Hell fisher developed Marcus Randle which proves this staff has shite the bed in the qb area.

Here is where you are wrong. Les corrected Malveto right away. This time he waited way too long. It was as if he gave Malveto an extra year. The sad thing is we don't need a great O coordinator this year just a solid one.

I am sure GC won't return regardless of the final record. Money was the issue why he returned. The O will get better, as long as we run the ball.

How far back should we go? Last 2 years?

Last 6 years? The 4 years at OSU? Let me know and I will fish for some candidates.

I guess you did not bother to read the whole post. I am no pumper by any stretch but I do see reality. Reality is we have a QB problem and that is Miles fault. RP, Garret, Z Lee, J Lee, Jefferson have not worked out. I do give the credit for having, in my opinion, every other piece of the puzzle in place to contend for championships.

6 years is how long he has been here. Who are candidates that can deliver a better WIN %age than Miles? Don't give me some of these coordinators crap like Muschamp and Smart. Because you have a decent defense doesn't make you a good head coach.

It's like making the best salesman sales manager and has salesman has no people management skills. Disaster waiting to happen. PROVEN HEAD COACH and may WANT to come here. This conversation is useless because Miles will be back next year unless the team totally collapses remainder of the year. Won't happen.

My bad. Gotcha. Kinda of a moot point. Miles will be back next year, Crowton, highly unlikely regardless of wins and losses.

Even Miles sunshine pumpers should realize that Crowton is going to be the fall guy and we will see what Miles does to fix it. I think he gets one season with a new OC to improve or they will clean house on the offensive side of the ball, including the HC.

Coach Miles has lost 15 games in 5 and 1/4 years.

15 loses:
2005: Lost 2 games:
1 in OT following Katrina to TN.
2. Ga. Dogs Beat down in SEC Champ game after playing 12 straight games. Team looked flat and tired. Post Katrina I feel.

2006:
1.3-7 to Auburn with some questionable officiating
2.3-10 to Florida in the Swamp with 5 TO and still in the game in the 4th Qtr. Questionable call on Hester not getting a TD.

2007: 2 games in triple OT
1. 6 pts to KY
2. 2 pts to R-Kansas

2008: No Defense with Co-Coordinators
1. Bama in OT after 3 INTs by Lee
2. Ar-Kansas 21-20 after most of the team quit following the OT Bama loss. Last play of game win for Hogs.
3. Ga. Dogs after a 3 INTs and 2 returned for TD
4. Gators in the Swamp after many INTs BEAT DOWN. Worst in Miles era.
5. Ole Miss. Team had quit after the Bama loss.

2009: Can't run or pass block
1. 3-13 Gators. In the game despite no offense. Questionable no-call on offensive pass interference led to only TD for Gators.
2. 15-24 Bama questionable no call on INT. Tigers lost both starting QB and RB Scott in 3rd Qtr.
3. 23-25 Ole Miss. We know the story with clock mgt. Tigers still had a chance to win despite having been TOTALLY OUTPLAYED the entire game.

He wins ugly, but the man wins. Out of the 15 games lost 4 in OT and 2 of those in triple OT.

Never lost to ULL, UL-Monroe, UAB etc...
Coach Miles made changes after the disaster in 2008 with the defense and I am confident he will do the same after the season regarding GC.

I see a lot of excuse-making here.

You can speculate all you want on things. If my aunt had a package, she'd be my uncle, et. al.

would you positigers please stop with this? this is the worst argument i hear about why miles is a good coach. is it supposed to make me believe that miles is a better coach than saban? it makes you look like a jackass. what is your point with it? did you know that miles lost to la tech?

He should've done this after last season. It now may be too late. Who would come her to replace GC if LM's considered to be on the hot seat?

Pear the three biggest talking points that the pumpers will use:

1. rp
2. the Uab angle
3. Winning percentage but fail to break down the sec winning percentage since 2008

Saban got the keys to a shithouse while miles got the keys to two bentleys. He already totatled one, and is working on the other one.

Les Miles SEC record after Sept. is 4 wins & 8 losses for the 08 & 09 seasons...So I'd say Les doesn't win, at least conference games.

Boom! that is basically what I have been saying. I asked the OP why did he fail to break down the SEC winning % since 2008. None of the pumpers will ever shed light on the "Real season" which is our conference schedule. But Miles is the best coach in the history of LSU football according to the Pumpers. I love these threads on these crazy spin angles that the pumpers will throw out.

It's gotten worse since last year. If it degresses from 1 year to the next, you're insane and completely unable to think logically if you think it's going to IMPROVE from one WEEK to the next.
