Ned Pepper: What's your intention? Do you think one on four is a dogfall?
Rooster Cogburn: I mean to kill you in one minute, Ned. Or see you hanged in Fort Smith at Judge Parker's convenience. Which'll it be?
Ned Pepper: I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.
Rooster Cogburn: Fill your hands, you son of a bitch!

damn fine movie

this looks great. i've only seen no country for old men and a serious man but im excited anyways. also, matt damon is having an incredible year! hereafter, true grit, and then the adjustment bureau. i might be missing something out but still he is gonna have one heck of a year

This looks great. It'll probably be the only movie other than Inception I go see at a theater this year

Well I don't feel like downloading and installing Quicktime just to watch it. Normally I'd be against a remake like this but seeing as how I'm big fan of the Coen's and True Grit isn't one of my favorite Wayne movies I'm anxious to see this.

So when will Hollywood do something original? Have they run out of story or are they lazy.

I would agree with this but in this case it's the Coens, and they put an original spin on everything they touch.

Just close the prompt and it will play anyway.

Yeah, it doesn't look bad, but I don't care who made it. It's still further evidence that Hollywood has run out of ideas.

This really isn't a remake of the original movie as I understand it. It's the Coen Bros. interpretation of the book.

Can't wait to see this. The original is one of my all-time favorites as is the sequel, "Rooster Cogburn."

Saw the original with my Dad at the Hart Theatre in the Summer of '69.

Really? This is what did it for you huh?
If we're going to get mad about Hollywood remakes let's take it out on somebody else and give the Coens a pass.

It looks good. Yeah, hollywood has been making alot of remakes lately, but shitty ones at that. A good movie is a good movie whether is was a remake or not.
