How about a poll on wma's. Let's get everyone's vote for best hunting in the deer, hog, and duck categories. Feel free to chime in with most scenic as well.

1)Russell Sage-had some great hunts there while in college and 20 minute drive
2)Tensas-most scenic and lots of game
3)Dewey Wills(Saline)-got drunk as shite there in high school on several occasions

To accurately say that one is better then all others, wouldn't you have to hunt all the others? I doubt anyone here has hunted all of them.

Out of the ones I have hunted:

Cocodrie bayou for bow hunting

Red River was good, but like all WMAs in gun season, crowded

Have had some great squirrel hunts in Saline (Dewey Wills).

Anecdotal evidence will suffice for the purpose of the poll. And please include the categories of game on your ballot.

Russell Sage. When Lafourche Canal would get really high and flood the majority of the Sage I would go in on the backside over private property. There is a high ridge back there and I would hunt that. 3 of us went in there in a coot all terrain vehicle and in one afternoon killed an 8pt, 9pt and the biggest 6 pt I've ever seen. We saw other bucks as well.

Union Parish WMA was money in the late 70's. Find a primary scrap, set up on it opening morning and bingo. It's all fricked up now.

Atchafalaya WMA has more ducks then expensive leases. See thousands a hunt.
