What's your biggest worry about the team going into the season?

My main concern for the season is if the offensive line can give the QB the protection he needs to get off decent passes and running backs the holes they need to get up field. Other than than, I'm pumped for the season and can't wait for the Purple and Gold to get back on the field.

qb.

I also wonder how long of a leash LM will have JJ on if he so happens he picks up where he left off in the spring game.
Im not ripping on the guy, but Im just curious how ahead LM believes JJ is over JL.

IMO ourn Oline will be the most improved position on the field this year.

It isn't a new worry, but it still makes me cringe to think about how unorganized we have looked as a team for the last 2 years. Guess my vote goes to the coaching staff as a whole making the team look good.

I honestly believe all of you who say coaches really dont think before you open your mouth.

Apparently some of you are more concerned with men that have spent their lives at every level of coaching football and achieved at the highest level than you are with some 18-19-20 yr old kids.

Seriouly, it doesnt make you a bad fan to worry about a player.
These men wouldn't be where they are if they weren't qualified. Im not worried about coaching, im worried about execution and that falls on players not coaches.

Oline
With an adequate oline - QB play will be good enough
If LSU struggles to run football, it will be a long year

The focus has to be on the two lines. Most of the SEC teams we play—Bama, Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St. and Arkansas—are touting strong o-lines, d-lines, or both. Given the shortcomings we saw last season, you have to key in on how our lines will fare against these teams.

You think coaching isn't as important as players in college football?

I feel like I've been brainwashed into believing the O-Line is going to be better...I want to believe it but I keep envisioning the Tigers going into the locker room at halftime of the the UNC game with 50 yards of total offense due to zero protection and zero push...Hope for the best but expect the worst...makes success all the sweeter

Unfortunatley this is the biggest myth in all of sports. The best part is it's constantly perpetuated by the media so much that people have begun to accept it as a law of nature. Personally I think coaching is more imperative in college football than in any other sport.

line play on both sides of the ball. I'll believe it when I see it. But our d-line was below average last year and our o-line was terrible. They do not get the benefit of the doubt.
