Impossible to say at this time but if he ends up at an SEC west school the possibility does exist. I would think State would have the inside track.

Doubtful. I would say Ole Miss is the definite front runner. Garrett isn't Mullens' kind of QB. And, with Ole Miss' situation at QB, he could compete for the starting job immediately.

I thought MS was the only SEC school he could transfer to in the article.

I'm pretty sure Garrett won't fit into a Mullen system. I don't even think he'll end up at Miss. St.

I didn't check if it's a subscription only one. If so, you can get a 7 day free trial if you really want to read it.

If he goes to a coaching staff that can actually develop a qb then he'll be better than he would be had he stayed here.

I like Mullen a lot. He an offensive minded football guy who can scheme an offense to fit his talent. I know that concept if foriegn to LSU fans but leaving LSU could have been the best thing to happen to CG.

He can go anywhere he wants. All the release does is allow him to be on scholarship while he sits out. If he goes somewhere without the release then he just has to find a way to pay for the first year.

Doubtful

You may be doubtful but his daddy was once the head of a State booster club so I'm going to stay out on my limb and say State has the inside track.
