Obviously it is always better to stay in the winner's bracket, but in a regional where the #2 and #3 seeds are so evenly matched as LSU and UC-Irvine were, UCI ended up with the advantage in the Sunday game because they had a cakewalk game against Kent on Saturday and more time to rest, while LSU had the much tougher game against UCLA.

I'm not making excuses because I don't think LSU could or would have beaten UCLA twice anyways, but it was odd how that worked out in UCI's favor.

We never should have been in the same bracket. UCI was deserving of a #2 seed, and LSU got screwed being sent that far away and having to play as strong a team as them.

seeding has been good -
only one 4 & one 3 still alive
only teams that had a #1 are in supers - 9 teams

The goal for LSU was to win the regional. LSU's only chance at that was to only play 3 games. Even if LSU had lost early we would not have had the pitching to compete in games 4 and 5.

If LSU beats Irvine yesterday it would have been Bradshaw vs UCLA's #3.

the teams coming out of the regionals earn what they get. if UCI could've beaten UCLA twice, then more power to them. but it's a moot point IMO because UCLA beat all 3 teams in their regional.

the regular season is where we fricked ourselves out of hosting

Worse treatment than a team that has the 37th RPI went 29-25 and 13-14 in a worse conference???

HMMMMMMMM??

correct! If LSU wins 1 game at FL, Ole Miss, & KY, they host. Instead, they got swept by all 3.

I do think it was a crappy draw to go out West, but it is what it is.

Tell this to the teams who have had to come to LSU for the regional.

Cal getting in fricked everything up.

Put Irvine as the 2 seed in L.A. send LSU as the 2 to Norman and take any other non Pac10 team deserving of a bid to L.A.

I personally would've rather played #3 Elon the first game than UC-Irvine. I will definately not be pulling for Bama today. Bama had a great draw.

Well that is due to their BS travel rules, but I agree.
