He comes out calling for J. Lee and rants about Saban and Jamarcus in his opinion piece. Blast the kid(JJ) for not talking to the media after the Florida game, equates this to him not being a leader, and then doesn't show up with another article on hump day to satisfy the masses.......

What gives man? You poured gasoline on the fire and then aren't here to give more of YOUR OPINION on the matter on Wednesday?

Only two things can happen from here.........Jordan Jefferson throws for 200+ and 2-3 tds against Auburn we win.......the qb haters quiet down till the Bama game is played and the numbers are in.

Or Jordan Jefferson looks like he did against Florida (doubtful), and Carl can come say "I told you so."

It has been 3 days Carl..........are you confused as to where you go from that last piece?

Carl is an early bird.......when I worked nights in the SICU, dude was posting them up at 3 and 4 am.....

Maybe he hasn't slept well in the last 2 days and is having a cup of coffee and a pop tart and typing as we speak?

Anxiously awaiting in NOLA,

Not one comment or word spoken after the piece too.............206 ranters fired back with a comment on the piece and not one response......Most agreed with him too.

Or else the piece got him so much attention he's interviewing for real jobs...

But I did find it out of the ordinary that he didn't post after all the responses, at least none that I saw.

I truly believe the only reason ppl agreed with him is because he is Carl and were just blindly agreeing with what he said. I thought the piece was extremely lame and just added to distance the two factions of fans...

Do you not think there is any truth to that? Dude wants to talk to the media after wins but not after he stinks up the field. I am not doubting he has good character and is probably a good kid, but he's not willing to face the music when he sucks.

So if JJ lights up Auburn, will it be because
A) he's a fricking awesome QB who has just unlocked his full potential.
B) Auburn generally sucks and is nowhere as good as Florida.

I am leaning towards B. I think most people on here support and love JJ mainly because he doesn't throw pick 6's and can run. They generally forget alot of the good things that Lee did that was good. His body of work,I.E. offensive production was better than JJ.

Sooner or later, doing journalism turns you into a journalist. It's a sad thing, but apparently unavoidable. Sic transit veritas.

None what so ever....In fact, I interpret it as Jordan is a competitor who was disappointed and obviously angry with himself after the game.

Lebron James didn't show up when his team lost and nobody his calling him a shitty leader the next day..........they did make a note of it and call him a poor sport but they weren't equating it to leadership.

This proves to me the young man knew he didn't perform. In Hindsight, I'm sure he wishes he would have took a shower, cooled off, and faced the music and I'm positive from here on out he will but at the time he didn't. Does this really make him a poor leader?

I expect more answers from SR leaders like C. Scott and Alem and Woods and big time players like Lafell..........not the 19 year old qb in his 6th start.

Add C. Black to that list of players who needed to interview.

FWIW, I have thought Carl's last two pieces sucked big time and was very disappointed as well.

I never said that, but if JJ performs better at Auburn than he did at Florida, 1) it will be because the COACHES put him in situations to be successful because they sure as hell didn't for 70% of the night against Florida and 2) JJ still controls his teams own fate for a National Championship and SEC championship.

Good thing about game 6 is there are always more games to prove yourself. That's all I'm saying. WE KNOW JJ is getting another opportunity because he is the starting QB!

You have to face the music plain and simple.

Dude Lebron got tore up in the media for not shaking hands and not showing up for the media interviews. They may not have questioned his leadership skills, but he's more than proven his worth. Don't compare that with a 19 yr old college QB.

I agree he probably wishes he would have handled it better, but imo it does show a lack of leadership when you are more than willing to talk after wins but run and hide after a loss.

He is the starting QB for one of the best college programs in the country, there is no exception.

C Black is terrible.

Learning experience, No Doubt.........

But nowhere in any of your post do I really see this decision equating to POOR LEADERSHIP.....bad decision.........sure........but proving to your teammates you can't lead them because you didn't show up for questions? Can't see those two correlating.

JLee had the benefit of Big Herm and a pretty good running game

JJ does not have either of those benefits

I think he's an arse for writing that piece. So, if a player doesn't talk to the media he's not a good enough football player? I'm tired of trying to argue this point with people. Jefferson has not lit up the world, but he hasn't killed us. If you really feel like J Lee is better equipped to run this team, I can't help you. Does no one see that the one consistent piece in the puzzle from last year to this, is that the playcalling continues to put our qb's in a bad spot?
From here on, I guess all you JLEE lovers will have a miserable season, no matter the score, unless he starts. Have fun playing with your unicorns, lepricahns, and bigfoot while the rest of us stay in touch with reality.

JLee also had the benefit of playing from behind for a large majority of his games.......

Conversely, JJ has lead in most of his games except for Florida and still was in a 1 possession game for most of that contest.

In other words, J. Lee had to take more risk which equates to more yards because he was consistently in shootouts where as to Jordan Jefferson has been in games in which his team can win the game and must protect what the team was trying to accomplish........winning the game.

Nobody gave Jordan any credit for the drive in which he completed some nice passes to Randle and company to take the lead at Georgia.........

All they saw was the quote in the paper about him wanting to get the ball to Chuck.........and equating that to having no confidence......I saw it as him understanding what he saw in front of him, a defense that Chuck could bust one on and low and behold TD.........yet still a bad decision for JJ.

Maturity is a quality of leadership. Leading by example is another. You don't think upperclassmen and freshman are watching what he does and how he handles himself before, during, and after games? He is the quarterback for LSU, he can't just pick and choose when he wants to talk to the media. When he does that, his leadership abilities and character come into question.
