No problem, I didn't do my research to see if this had been discussed. Just thought it was a surprising story. My bad.

Didnt realize this guy was a 4 time all state QB. No matter what league youre playing in....a feat like that is tough.

I realize they sucked last year, but u gotta feel a little bad for the QB that lost his job. He lost it to a guy that hasn't played football since 2004 in one week of practice. That't gotta hurt.

I guess we'll see him on ESPN soon. Article says he is in grad school for Television broadcasting. Will he be a football or basketball analyst?

Played 4 at Duke...but didnt get a redshirt. So he technically has 1 more year of eligability.

I think.

I don't understand the eligibility either? Does it matter he's switching sports...basketball to football? What about the rule of sitting out a year when transfering to another D1 school? Again is that because its basketball to football?

You are allowed to play four years of any one sport and then you can play a fifth year of a different sport for one year. I don't know how or why its like that buy I had a cousin play soccer for 4 years and then was a kicker for KSU for 1 year.

Since Paulus did not redshirt for the Duke basketball team, he has one year of eligibility remaining in another sport. And since he will complete his degree in four years, he can go to graduate school elsewhere and compete immediately if granted a special waiver from the NCAA.

How bad do you have to be to have a guy starting at QB that has not even played football in 4 years.
