i know im walking into a firing squad by posting this but i dont care.. fire away.
In the pics from practice they are wearing the usual helmets and white jerseys and purple pants.
In the 90's we went to Kentucky wearing purple pants (i was there) and it was absolutely AWFUL.
however, the shade of purple when we played Kentucky was a horrible shade. It was too much on the "mauve" end of the purple spectrum.
The pants they are wearing in practice are a cool color purple.
I wouldnt be opposed to them playing one game in a uniform of this nature.
thoughts?

I wouldnt mind it a bit

I wouldn't mind seeing it. Only for some minor game like Tulane or ULL though. I like the traditional uniforms for the big games.

i agree TigerMonkey - when we play Bama, UF, etc.. stick to the traditional stuff

i thought the same thing while watching the news last night. the purple pants looked more purple to me. brighter than the UK game pants.
Farkers, how about farking an ALL purple uni with the yellow helmet...ya know....for shits and giggles.

Yet you discuss changes to the pants. What an idiot

the purple pants worn at UK had a few issues
1) under the lights they had a weird sheen to them
2) they had no side stripes so they looked cheap
3) they had a tiger head logo on the upper hip that looked like a CFL uniform

I think it would be cool for us to break out an alternate jersey/uniform/throwback for a game each season.

i dont think anyone ovefr 200 posts ever even considers posting something this stupid.... If you really like LSU then you wouldnt want them looking so bad.....

supatiger i agree - the Kentucky game purple pants were just flat out ugly.
i think it could look really cool with the right color etc. the ones they are wearing in practice are perfect.

The pants we wore that year didn't even have any stripes. It looked terrible. Why did we decide to do that again? What year was it? 1993?

As long as we aren't Oregon, we're ok...

Dude,
Regarding your question: you have a right to ask.
Regarding the "experiment": hard to beat the traditional, but it doesn't hurt to explore other options, I suppose.
You certainly have a nice sized 'pair' to ask this question with the smattering of uncouth posters with no civility who roam this message board ready to pounce on someone who is merely asking a simple question. These people make Tiger Rant something less than what it should be when they attack other Fighting Tiger fans...disgraceful.
