I can still remember seeing C.C. break his leg at Vandy..... What a waste of talent!

hard to believe that guy is still in prison for breaking and entering, others get a slap on the wrist for worse offenses, I know Cecil was a multiple offender, but still he got screwed IMO. frickin Larry Little killed someone and Donte and both are still playin NFL ball.

You can't help but hope someone like him gets his shite together and lives the rest of his life a free man.

A huge waste of talent, but it appears he's really learned from his mistakes and can really make a difference in some young kids' lives and how to avoid the traps that will get them into trouble. He can do lots of good.

Cecil's best friend was the stentence he was given. He needed the time off of the streets to mature. The chance of him getting a life sentence for some other dumb folly would have been great had he been given a 3 to 5 year sentence. Now it seems his brain has settled into a more mature state, and he is ready to take on life more responsibly, I hope.

Cecil Collins was one of my biggest disappointments as a Tiger fan. Based on what he did in his short stint, he could have been the greatest running back ever at LSU. His performance in the Auburn game, which we lost, where I think he ran for over 200 yards was just incredible. It's just so sad that he threw it all away. I sure hope he can make a good life for himself when he gets out of prison.

He came in through the bedroom window and was going after a woman while she was sleeping. Fortunately for her, her husband was there and confronted Collins who was therefore deterred from doing whatever it was that he intended. He was a multiple offender. If it were your wife or daughter who was the intended victim and your home invaded in the dead of night, I don't think you would feel that his sentence was too long. The sentence is not out of line with a typical South Florida burglary offense. As far as Stallworth is concerned (also South Florida), he obviously paid a lot of money, either/or both to his attorney, the victim's family, and the election campaign committee of the local prosecutor and/or judge.

Yes Stallworth reached a financial settlement with the victims family as well he should have, the rest you are going overboard on...

The big difference here as far as the crimes (outside of people killed of course) is Intent...Collins willfully committed his crimes and was a repeat offender while Little and Stallworth did not...

I don't know all the facts but it seems like he broke and entered and looked at women while he played with himself. No doubt a huge perversion and the breaking and entering is a crime. But 15 years. He probably traumatized someone but 15 years. Wow! I am sure he is a much better person now and is under control but 15 freaking years for being a perveted kid. At least he is only 32 and has a lot of life left. Sounds like he will make a difference. Good Luck Cecil...thanks for the great memories of the Auburn game. One of the best I have ever seen!

My favorite Cecil quote of all time (rough translation):

Judge: Why did you break into this woman's apartment?
Cecil: I had dat liquor on da brain.

Wasn't the word thought that Cecil was having an affair with this lady and was escaping from her window when her husband came home? Either way, he didn't need any help getting women being a pro in Miami,

Rae Carruth has his girlfriend murdered and only gets 19 years? Cecil gets 15 for a non-violent crime? cmon
