For those who didn't get the original post.

Sounds like someone made up a cool story and emailed it to a bunch of people and now I will get this chain email once a month for forty years and each month it will be a different player.

It is a grammatical mistake which I included in the post b/c the is the verbatim message that was sent to me. doesn't necessarily mean it is not true. What it does, in fact, mean is that the original author made a grammatical mistake..regardless of the truth therein.

More likely scenario:

Mikie gets on base with go-ahead run in 11th and says "Got anything to say now?" to the smart-arse 1st baseman.

Response: Nothing

Mikie: "Well, I do. I wear a size 10 ring!"
