Tie breaker only affects seeding in the tournament. We are co-champs.

We do, but the SEC Champion is not decided by tie breaker. A tie-breaker is only used to determine seeding in the tournament. Therefore, both LSU and Ole Miss are SEC champions.

The SEC does this in every sport man. I don't like it either. But Ole Miss also claims an SEC West co-champ in football in 03, even though we beat them head to head. Hell, in 88 when we beat Auburn in the earthquake game, we were co-champs with them and the Sugar even selected Auburn over us, because they were ranked higher. But hey, I'm sure LSU has some banners hanging where we were co-champs even though we lost the tie-breaker, so it works both ways. However, I would gladly give those up if they would change the rules. Personally I think the SEC should allow the team that won it to claim/hang the championship, and force the other team to claim co-championship. Just my opinion.

I didn't realize that. I like that. I'm assuming your talking about football. What about baseball and basketball? In basketball, do the banners hanging in the P-Mac reference a champ vs a co-champ season? I can't recall.
