In Houston for the week. Always seen, but never stopped at Goode Company Barbeque. How does it rate? Brisket or ribs?

Best restaurant BBQ that I know of in Houston. Their seafood place and taquiria is good as well.

Smoked duck at the BBQ joint is pretty good on jalapeno bread, BTW.

I would say its better than average.

I also like Otto's Barbecue, Spring Creek Barbeque,
Luling City Market, Houston Barbecue Company.

This place is awesome. I've never had the ribs but the turkey, beef, and jalapeno sausage are all great. Definitely get the baked beans too.

Also, if you want some of the best hand breaded chicken fingers I've ever had, try the Armadillo Palace across the street.

That place should be razed. It is an affront to the original City Market in Luling and is living off of that name, though they have absolutely no connection between the two.

I'm going to check this place out when I get back too. Menu looks good.

That's a pretty accurate description of all of the Goode Co. restaurants off Kirby.

So true. I wonder where I fit into that mix...

Goode Co is great. I like my cue places to be a bit divey feeling, and Goode Co is pretty close.

It's pretty good, but I actually prefer the taste at Pappa's BBQ. I find the actually BBQ sauce at GC to be kind of bland.

agreed. i like the smokey taste at Pappa's better than Goode's

I don't like Pappa's BBQ (or Seafood for that matter). Demeris>>>Pappa's.

They have 3 locations. The original Demeris is on Shepherd. Their BBQ is okay, I haven't had it in a while, their burgers used to be pretty good too-but it's been a while since I've had it.
