A sufficient bribe.

Just to compare, Georgia had a record of 35-19-1 overall, 20-9-1 in the SEC last year and went 2-and-out in the SEC Tourney and still got a Top-8 seed. If we win 2/3 against Florida and MSU and beat Centenary, we'll finish with a record of 41-15, 20-10 in the SEC. So there's a chance that if we win our last two series we'll get it no matter what, but 1 win in Hoover will remove any doubt.

Watch the powers-that-be shift that criteria a smidge.

Selection committees HATE LSU

because we've had a hard time securing a national seed over the years in baseball. y'all need to get off this "everyone hates lsu" kick

We need to advance into the top 10 teams (preferably top 8) of the list below by wiining. This is last weeks RPI ratings. I'm sure beating Tulane and winning 2 of 3 against Ark will help. Sweeping the Gators would be sweet.

1 0.635 35 11 35 11 North Carolina
2 0.626 31 12 31 12 Cal State
3 0.626 30 11 30 11 Georgia Tech
4 0.623 29 15 31 15 Miami, Florida
5 0.621 32 11 32 11 Texas
6 0.621 30 11 30 11 Rice
7 0.616 33 11 33 11 UC Irvine
8 0.616 31 15 31 15 Clemson
9 0.616 33 10 33 10 Arizona State
10 0.611 33 14 33 14 Florida
11 0.610 31 13 31 13 Arkansas
12 0.610 29 13 29 13 Texas Christian
13 0.606 35 9 35 9 Virginia
14 0.598 33 14 33 14 Georgia
15 0.598 31 16 31 16 Texas A&M
16 0.598 35 13 35 13 Louisiana State
17 0.595 32 12 32 12 Florida State

If we win both series, or win one and have a decent showing in the tourney(2 wins), we've got it.

Dont forget that we've got a brand new stadium thats gotten rave reviews, and you'd have to be foolish to think that wont play into the selection committees seeding. LSU has consistently shown they will pack the house.

I don't think RPI will matter that much of we win the SEC regaular season crown. Win the next two series, and I believe we'll get a seed.

Agreed 100%, especially IF LSU has taken 2/3 from Georgia, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Florida. Outside of LSU, those are arguably the best teams in the SEC. Having a top 10 RPI won't be necessary if LSU beats UF and MSU en route to an SEC crown.

I wonder what the purpose of the RPI's when all they have to do is ask you. Looks like a waste of time compiling such numbers.

I still think that lsu will get a top 8 seed if they lose the series to florida 2-1, and they sweep msu and win one gm in the tourney. Losing two to florida wouldn't be that damaging resume wise.

We will need all the help we can get because this team is not built for a tournament. I hope I am wrong and someone in the bullpen steps up.

have you always been an arrogant prick?

If we win a power conference, we should get a national seed. That's all he was saying but I guess you're too big of a douche bag to understand logic. They do look at things other than RPI, and LSU has the new stadium and tradition factor going for them.
