Wasn't that the year that OPW beat Curtis in district play to hand the Patriot's their first district defeat since a loss in 1975 to Newman? FWIW Curtis got revenge on the Greenie's in the state AA semis.

Don't know about best team cause there are have been a shite load of good ones through the years but best program I have ever seen is Katy High. They never have top D1 talent but year after year they are playing for the Texas 5a state title and winning more times than not. I think of them as more impressive than a de la salle team or evangle because they can not recruit. They take the kids who are givin to them in their area and win titles at the highest level in Texas highschool football.
