OH-WEE-OH Chant Coming Back Nov. 1

According to the LSU Reveille today, the LSU band will give the Oh-Wee-Oh chant a test run on November 1st against Tulane. If band officials are satisfied with the content of the chant it will be put back in the lineup. I love this song, but I'm wondering is it possible for our student section to avoid vulgar language, get this song back in the lineup and keep it there?

I would love it back too, but i doubt the maturity of the student section will straighten out in that short of a time span. This is their chance, i hope they don't screw it up.

they quit b/c steve is a jerk! but the student section already does this on their own, so i don't think that it will "officially" come back

If it refers to the wizard of Oz then everybody is chanting the wrong thing. The Wicked Witches guard would chant "Oh we love, the old one" not Oh-Wee-Oh. It's like baby's trying to imitate someone but can't get the words quite correct.

I'm with you on that. The maturity level of the some of the students will not allow it anymore.
Why can't people keep it clean and yell their @$$ off for their team. Not classy when fans start yelling Bull-$hit, and other curse words, flipping the bird to everyone, etc... Very childish!

we are talking about mostly drunk 17-22 year old people here. i thought it was blown way out of proportion and only something the visor would pull.
