BAMA vs. Adams

Posted by TigerBandMan on 11/11/14 at 10:26 am
I have seen a number of threads about the penalty called on Alexander near the endzone, and while it sucks for us, i guess it is mostly just karma. How many times did Adams draw flags for us with his "King James" flops in key drives?...
Did I just read where you said the band is paid?
If i remember correctly, it is not necessarily payment, it is a stipend for members due to the fact they give up their entire weekends and free time and cannot easily hold jobs. It isn't much money either from what i understand....
If I'm staying by the Galleria (no i didn't book it, someone else did), what about cabbing it to the Wheeler station and taking the metro down to the stadium?
If you are just going to the game, might as well cab it straight there. About the same time/cost. If you want to go out, c...
There is a stop after the stadium but i'm not sure if the station is outside the parking lot. Google maps can help you out though....
Just fyi for anybody that maybe doesn't have a room yet. A couple of days ago I used Priceline name your own bid. I bid $180 for a 4 star hotel downtown and got the Hilton. The listed rate on their website was $209.
Good advice, and that is a great hotel! There is a mexican restaur...
Good luck getting home with Uber
True, but good luck getting home with anything other than your own car, and lord knows we need a bunch of drunk LSU fans driving around....
Also coming from Galleria area...no parking pass....any suggestions appreciated...
You have a few options and I think it depends on what you want to do prior to and after the game. If you are looking to go out to the bars before the game in either Midtown or Downtown, drive over...
I'm going to stay downtown makes the most sense then jump on that light rail when i am wasted don't worry about driving sounds like plan... where is everyone staying at downtown? any recommendations? Are the hotels next to the bars. I want to see a lot of women. Where is the after party d...
No. While several people are advising against staying in the vicinity of the stadium, I am willing to take my chances. That metro train has never encountered this many people staying downtown & I can foresee a cluster F$$$ getting back after the game. The Crowne Plaza is just too convenient.[...

There is a tailgate that is hosted by the LSU Alumni Association which you can find on the 2nd post on the first page. I imagine that will be pretty kid friendly. If you are looking just for things to do and not necessarily LSU related items, you can go to the aquarium downtown or the zoo by Herman...
