Now do yourself another favor and order the tool grinder attachment for machetes, shovels, hoes, lawn mower blades, etc.

If all you are worried about is your EDC pocket knife, then a stone is fine. But if you plan to sharpen your pocket knife, your father's/son's pocket knife, your entire kitchen, your neighbor's kitchen, etc...then get the worksharp.
I asked for a ken onion edition last Christmas and highly recommend it. I've been asked to sharpen dozens of knives that aren't mine over the past year, ranging from pocket to chef to filet knives. I even use it to sharpen mower blades.

Also use mine as a belt sander to take dings out of brass bolsters and wood scales on knives
Picked up a trashed Puna Prospector and really brought it back to new.

I like mine I get it out about 3 times a year and can sharpen 10 to 15 knives in less than 30 minutes and be done. Its a must have for an outdoorsman.. I had a buddy who was watching me sharpen knives who swears he would not sharpen his benchmade on anything other than a stone. I talked him into trying it, he now owns one.

Alright... yall best be right.

I just ordered one for my buddy (and his wife) for their Christmas present. I'll sharpen all my stuff on it after I give it to him.

You bought the one tigertots had mentioned? Is it the ken onion or the original?

I think for a non-powered sharpener, the Edge Pro Apex has to be in consideration - I'd either do that or the Work Sharp.
