So, you think a deep v has the same or less roll than a flat bottom?

That's what I'm referring to when I talk about stability.
Get in a deep V and a flat bottom and tell me which is more stable.

They are popular here sort-of. Our welders have modified them a little. Look at a Hankos, Sportsmans Fab, or a Tugga (H. Martinez) built hull and you'll see the same basic dual console style fishing/camp/do-all style boat. Major diff is these are 3/16 all welded with diamond plate or rhino lined flooring with lower sides. The "Lund" styles are mostly riveted boats or thinner .80 gauge. The Lunds just wouldn't hold up down here for very long.

The hankos don't draft that deep either
