Why aren't these types of boats more popular in Louisiana?

Between the stumps in Toledo Bend and the Oyster Beds in the marsh and the rough open bays it would seem this would be a good all around boat. I just never see them.

I was just using Tracker as an example. There are several other brands. They shouldn't draft more than a Bay Boat right?

Because my boat deck is like 1 foot out of the water not 3 feet

Because that's some yankee arse crap.

We fish in shorts and bare foot, not jeans and knee boots

We drink beer on the water, not coffee

We catch fish that look good to eat

We need front decks to display our bikini clad womens, not a hole in the hull to hide a 200 lb. whale

IMO an aluminum boat with a lifted front and back deck (see below)

gets you up higher and allows you to "work" the shoreline better and make more accurate cast while trolling along, which here in Louisiana is more of how we fish being that our bodies of water are shallow in respect to all the lakes up north where many fish hold in deep water structures

They are better for trolling which is used there. Also the casting decks are pretty small.

The deeper V on the boats make them less stable as well.

Lastly, they just look funny....

The second those become popular in Louisiana I'm buying stock and every major fishing rod company. Frick a net.

There is no reason why a light aluminum boat needs a deep V. That thing would get caught in the mud and cut to pieces by the oyster beds.

The only boat of that kind which would make it down here is a Duroboat. That's only because it is exceptionally light and the variable chine goes pretty much to flat by the transom. I saw one running the marsh in Vermillion Parish last weekend. Too expensive for what you get, but a nice little boat.

Deep draft, not much of a casting deck.

Because there's no room to put 3 foot hoop nets in that thing.
