$40 for 6 and that is the Academy brand.
Does painting 2 liter bottles work for creating a big spread?

Marketing and consumer demand. I don't think they cost that much to make. If people would stop buying them for a few years price would probably drop.
I have no experience with bottles but rags work well for geese when mixed with shells

On catahoula many people have a bunch of bottles painted flat black for numbers and making the spread show up. Then mix in 10-15 dozen decoys to add realism. Seems to work well there. Would imagine it would be fine on any bigger body of water or big rice field.

And to think think that decoys started as square blocks of wood. I guess there is also a good secondary market for them too bc I had my back glass busted and the mfer stole 2 dozen faded deks out of the back of my suv. Also took my lanyard of calls

Probably had a sticker of some ducks cassayed on his back window.

it's terrible isn't it?!? Duck dynasty and the OD channel took care of that.

Can you post a pick of your back glass.

Ducks are high, but canada goose dekes are f'ing crazy! $200 for 6 floaters is beyond insane.

That ice chest needs more beer if you buying!

made many a hunt when I was a kid over a spread of black 2 liter coke bottles

biggest factor I've found is wind (besides locaton). Best decoys with no wind and they'll still hit a wall at 60 yards

If not 2 liter bottles, buy used and repaint

Same as vehicle prices- if people will pay it, why not hang it in their arse? I remember buying a dozen decoys at Simmons for around $25 - loaded the bed of my truck, and that was not too many years ago.
