That sucks. . .

But yea, croakies or cablez or whatever. . . a must have out on the water.

Reminds me of a time back when I was 9, my dad took me fishing on a vacation to Arkansas. (my dad is not a fisherman) I was sitting in front with him in the back- I dropped the rod back to cast and the hook caught his Rx Raybans on the nose bridge and launched them into the lake. . . that was the last time I went fishing with my dad

My dad went to set the hook on a fish with a lizard and 1/2 oz bullet weight. Lure shot straight out of the water and hit me square in the face knocking my glasses off. Croakies saved them from going in the water, but nothing could help the lens.

I bought a used 'Yak around Labor Day last year. i have tried to fish out of it, unsuccessfully. I guess at 63, I find too many things happening at once to be comfortable. Only enjoyed it when it was DEAD calm. The paddles and the pole were hard to manage. I can more easily fish in a 12' skiff, "sculling" if that's the proper term. Of course I have done that for 40 years.
I also have an 18' bass boat a canoe and a 14' flat.
I have been meaning to sell this Yak. I am in Delhi, La.
Any NELa OBers interested in a hardly used 10' Ascend Yak? rigged out and has the bars needed to mount on a car top rack. $350 or trade for a lost firearm, prefer lost pistol or 22 semi.rifle.

Edited to change Price to TREE-FIDDY, hopefully will get more response!

I don't. Paddling cuts into beer drinking time. And I have a boat.

I've considered getting a yak.

But so far, no one has been willing to swap a yak for my 21-ft. Bullet (and 250 Mercury).

I'm waiting to see some idiot put one of those Seven Marine 557's on a bass boat. It's only a matter of time. You know some jackass is going to try it.

I fly fish all the time out of my kayak and while you can try it out of any kayak, it's much better to get one that is better suited for that job.

That Diablo Adios looks like it'd be awesome for me.

Read up on the Native Slayer. They re-designed it with fly fishermen in mind.

Yeah I'm looking at several, some good choices.
