I currently carry a smaller firearm than my G19 due to comfort. TIA for suggestions.

Appendix carry is definitely the easiest way to carry a full size gun and keep it concealed. I like my ravenconcealment eidolon, other like the Haley strategic incog, a good cheaper option to see if you like it is phlster skeleton gen2 with a wing attached, Trex arms sidecar. Probably lots of other good ones I am forgetting.

For behind the hip generally people go with a hybrid holster like a crossbreed or something like that. No my favorite but just my opinion.

Check out T&T Gunleather IWB. I have 3, for G19, Hk45c or VP9, and Kimber 1911. Also use Crossbreed OWB for G19

Clip draw. All mine have them even my full size. Like not having to worry bout a holster, belt etc.

Clip draw looks like a good idea.

Except

I'm thinking about carrying in small of back and in order to do so I'd have to put the clip on the left side of the slide which will interfere with my grip.

I use this simple sucker right here:

Sticks in place wherever you want it to.

Small of the back is a crappy draw.

Used to carry that way, but under stress and in a rush its easy to get your shirt caught in your grip.

I switched to 4-5 oclock right above my right rear pants pocket....much easier and cleaner draw. Also allows you to concel your draw better than all the way at 6.

Also with small of back position, if under stress you have an AD while drawing it...good chance you gut shoot yourself from the side.

I'd rethink that. That's a really good way to do serious damage to you spine if you fall (or get thrown) to the ground.

I'm sure it will get laughed at but, I have been using Alien Gear for years and it works great and have never had any issues with them. The neoprene feels great against your skin and doesn't rub like traditional kydex IWB holsters.
