Is the LSU tag removable?
If there's no rust issues, you won't have any trouble selling it. I've had an '83 and an '82. The '82 had a nicer restoration, but I really wish I still had the '83.

Yall married da wrong gals 
years ago I casually mentioned to da ole lady that I would love to get me a ole rusty jeep to goof off with ride behind the levee take hunting maybe pull my boat etc. Went to work for a month when I got home there was a 81 sitting in the driveway at first I thought it was Jody's but when I opened the door there was a sign, surprise and Merry Christmas. I found out she had used the money she had been saving to remodel the kitchen to buy it. Here it is years later and I still have her and da jeep.
