Personally, I just throw a few poles out around pond, they are much easier to snag with a treble hook (if you dont' have a boat)

I prefer jugs, but then again I've never used noodles.

I'm also a big fan of trotlining.

noodles because they are easier to store the hooks in and they still float after they get holes in them.

Just found this if anyone is interested. I going to build about 12 of them. Gonna try them in the Red River around Poland.

I want to punch people in the face when they call it a troutline... and I'm quite non-confrontational.

I made 30 of them last weekend with noodles. Can't wait to try them out.

What is ya'lls bait of choice on them?

I've always used 32 oz. gatorade or powerade bottles with a couple of pieces of reflective tape on the bottom and top for easy spotlighting.

I use small perch, cut diagonally.

I make my little cousins catch perch all day so I can run my lines in the evening/at night.
