And is there any particular reason?

I am looking at a Browning Medallion 30.06. A buddy of mine showed me a Sako 85 Bavarian last night.

Talk about a nice gun. What does the OB have?

Savage (can't remember the exact model, synthetic stock/blued barrel w/ accutrigger and fixed mag) in .270 win. Cheap Simmons scope that came with the gun. I'd like a new scope but I love the rifle. Accu-trigger is the tits.

I shoot a Browning A-bolt stainless stalker with the B.O.S.S. chambered in .270 winchester and have a Leupold Vari X-II 3x9x50 it was given to me as a christmas gift from my grandfather. Nice gun and is very accurate. The 130gr ballistic silver tips haven't let me down yet.

Just depends on the day of the week.
Go to gun- savage 308 with accutrigger
Brush gun- marlin 30-30
If hunting power lines/pipe lines winchester 270 WSM
Sometimes just for kicks the 243 with accutrigger
Primitive weapon- h&r 45-70

I love it. I am not a very good shot but my buddy can shoot groups around 1" with it. It has a decent scope and it is more accurate than I am for sure.

Sako L57 Forester .308

It is on semi-permanent loan from an older relative. I have no business using that gun, but I thank my lucky stars every time I can. It is an absolutely gorgeous gun.
