Not a lot of experience with 4wheelers... bought my first one last year used, just to riding around...

my buddy suggested a Honda Recon (250)... supposedly the smallest "adult" bike. He likes them cause they work for what he does and they're small enough to pull out of the mud by hand if you need to.

I like it... but I aint a fat-arse (well not too, yet) and I don't plan on crossing the amazon.

Many good options but Honda is slighty ahead of the rest. Great 4 wheeler and very reliable.

I have always had a fourtrax 300 that I rode into the ground. It was awesome in the area I used to hunt. Unfortunately where I'm hunting now, the 300 won't get me everywhere. I'm talking steep arse hills and a couple creek crossings that are tough on any four wheeler.

You should probably hang this argument up. If its not a Honda, chances are you wish it was.

I got a Rancher on here last year for a great deal.

I came in here only to post this

That said I ride cheap 250 Yamaha. Not much but they do what I need them to. When I buy my own it'l probably be a honda 350 4x4. I don't need anything more than that

Not a chance in hell I wish it was. I want performance and comfort in mine and Honda doesn't have it.

Ok well if they are reliable, and you arent using them to do mud races, why wouldnt you get the most dependable bike? Ive never been in a situation a Honda Rancher couldnt handle, and most regular hunters wont either.

We have a 420 rancher at work that has over 4000 hours on it and it still runs great...

I have a 93 fourtrax with the original spark plug still in it.

Nothing can frick with a mid sized manual shift Honda.

I already said theyre not comfortable and I've had mine right next to a Honda and it could not pull with nor keep up. Unless they've done something different recently they don't have the ground clearance either. They are a good machine like I said already. I'm not dogging them i just gave my opinion on what I like and don't like. For someone to say a Polaris is shitty is just foolish or they've never spent anytime in one.
