My last weed eater is in a landfill somewhere. I took an oath to never again own one.

This, except there is no love. Just a deep seated hatred.

Surprised more people haven't said the weed eater spool. I guess all of the new ones come with the easy spool or whatever

That was a hate only relationship... It was replaced by Roundup.

Climbing stand for me. Love the comfort and portability. Hate tidying the arm/straps/string for carrying. Also adjusting for whatever size the tree trunk is going to be 20' up.

Eta: Ratchet straps are fantastic. Surprised so many OB'ers don't know how to operate a very OB device.

My API nests in itself. No tying or strapping at all.

Original grand slam from the 90s. The newer ones may not nest. You may find one on eBay. If you are large, don't bother with that one.

don't answer it so people have quit calling me. I'll text them back eventually.

Wish that were an option. With the work and family responabilties, the next call could be urgent or an emergency.

another one for hate is any small engine device w/o a Honda motor ... lawnmowers, generators, pumps, pressure washers etc.

Put a Honda motor on it and its all love

I just go ahead and consider them 'single use' items.

Throw them in a bucket and I'll pick them up once a month. I can work them just fine, however I tend to lose them a ton or just be careless with them and bend/break them and end up buying new ones every couple months.

I'll add a welding machine to this list. I have access to great equipment but don't want to put in the time to learn/teach myself. So instead I weld crap together that looks like someone sneezed on it. In the occasional instance I manage to tig something and it look presentable I take a picture, post it on Instagram and declare myself a welding god. The other 98% of the time I just break out the grinder.

If for work then I can see answering. I have family also but they don't call for stupid crap anymore. Just don't answer. They will leave a message if emergency. after a few months they will quit calling for nothing.

I don't mind emergency calls.

I see a lot of you do not know how to properly use ratchet straps.

I'd be fine with them if they stayed in the same place/position/setting from the time I unhooked them until next usage.. Every single time, someone/something/bad fairy comes along, digs in my boxes and pulls ends out, ties in knots, and generally messes em up.

I get ready to hook, and just end up blindly staring down at them,,, look around to see if there's anyone that can help me..
