Have u been using it? Rifle or shotgun. Passed down from family?

BAR 270
Since fall 1988
Chose that instead of a class ring
Only rifle I've put my hands on since that time .

My grandpa's old Remington 1100. Left it for me when he moved back to India. Has killed a ton of rabbits, squirrel, and dove. Was made back when Remington was actually Remington.

My dad and I have two Remington 7600's. One is actually a 760 gamegetter.

Between the two prob 35-40 deer have met their demise. If the house catches on fire my wife grabs our box of flash drives with backed up pictures and documents and I grab those two rifles. The rest can burn.

I've owned every weapon I have except the AR since before '88. No hand me downs either.

2 of them. One is a browning sa22. Was the first new gun my dad ever bought. Purchased in the early 70s by my uncle at the px after his first tour in vietnam.

Second is a winchester 97 my grandpa used to pheasant hunt in Iowa when they still owned a farm there. Moved to arkansas in the early 50s so no telling how old it is.

my dad calls that the 742 jam master. My grandpa killed the 1982 Baton Rouge Steinmarts big buck contest winner with it. And he was thankful for the semiauto because he missed the first shot then boiler room on the 2nd.

It was passed down to me from my dad. I clean and oil it after every shot or target session. Trying to prevent the jam master.

I'm waiting for him to pass down his Colt & Sauer .270. In the 70's they teamed up and made only 27,000 total rifles. They quit in 1984. This one is in perfect condition. I get a boner just holding it.

Remington 1100 that I got for Chrstmas in 1979. Has slayed many critters.

Ruger Mark II .22 pistol that was the first gun I bought for myself.

Don't really use either much anymore, but I could never let them go.

The only gun my old man passed down is an old bolt action Mossberg .410 shotgun he used for rabbit hunting as a teenager. He got it from Sears in the 60's. I hardly ever use it as its a POS. I keep it around for dispatching rodents and snakes.

My old faithful rifle is the first rifle I bought for myself. Saved up my pennies for a year or so and got a left handed Weatherby Mark V back in the late 90's. My favorite shotgun is a Benelli M2 20 gauge I use for turkey hunting.

Grandfather's old JC Higgins (Sears Roebuck) 16ga bolt action. About the only thing I have killed with it is a duck. Dropped every deer I've shot at with it. Grandfather got it for a retirement gift in the early 60's.

Go to pistol, Colt peacemaker .22lr or mag. My dad bought it brand new when he was 16. Everyone always talked out how good a shot he was with it. One day while fishing with him, I called his bluff....he shot the blade off my buzz bait on my next cast. One of my best, and funniest memories of him while he was still here.

1960 something mossberg .22 rifle passed down from granddaddy. That and a pair of old roach killers are the only things passed down I have of his. That gun is one of my most cherished possessions.
