Doesn't seem like the best idea to orphan a coyote pup.

cool stuff ... friend of mine from SoTx has a similar story that I'll share.

Mother may have been killed or out hunting food as these pups were found in a cotton field. They saved one female to raise, left the others there

pic from April 2010

coyote slowly acclimated to the humans and thought it was a family pet ... September - 5 months later

update on the female:

she got out while my buddy was at work and several people where chasing her with bats trying to kill her....she was freaking out when his brother drove up. Animal control was out there as well trying to dart her. He calming walked to her and picked her up and everyone was freaking out. She was really scared and started licking him! Animal control told him that they had to get it out of the county right then....so he took her to his cousins house where she now lives...she never skipped a beat. Still cool and friendly as she has always been.

Tough decision on what to do with an abandoned coyote pups. Cute as a bug at that age; however as they mature those are some fawn Killin' SOB's

Gorgeous pup. That's a nice coat when someone is bathing the old yote.

Interesting that they domesticated her so quickly. Does she eat dog food or something else?

For the most part, as evidenced above, they usually do just fine when raised from a very young age as a domestic pet.
