BIL just checked his game cam and discovered some young punks trespassing with guns in hand. Pisses me the F off.
Can we do anything to eradicate the problem?

Unless you know who they are and report them to get a reputation of not putting up with it, not really. Even if you do that, people will start messing with you out of spite

Bear trap
Dig a pit cover with limbs and twigs
Shotgun shell on a mouse trap nailed to tree with a trip wire
Bag full of snakes hanging in tree with trip wire
Piss balloons

Sit out in the woods, and catch them, pull a gun on them, and scare the living crap out of them. It worked when it was done to some of my friends when we were young.
That guy even broke their fishing poles and threw all of their fishing stuff in the pond.

Hunting on family land, and my cousin has been with LDWF for 25+ years. We'll definitely consult him, but what can he do realistically?

You go up to them, play nice guy, "there must be a mistake", etc.
Then turn them in if it's a reoccurring problem.
The last thing to do is go all Rambo on them, no good comes from that.

I would imagine it could be proof if trespassing if they could be identified.
Or you could wait until they come back and have their vehicle towed for trespassing. That would be bad arse.

The problem is to prove that the pictures you have are on your land.
Myself, I been known to put a few rounds over there heads. It really is a pain in the arse to press charges unless you have a witness. Then a call to the cops, then you have to go in file the paperwork with your witness. Then you and your witness will have to show up for court date.
All that and then the fine is only around $75 + court cost for them. But, I have seen a judge charged people more then $500 due to were they were trespassing on a hunting club that cost 2 grand a year to hunt and the judge was a member.

Somebody stole one of my feeders a couple weeks ago. From the same spot where I had someone on camera last year. Same spot where some backwoods pos who ran his mouth about trespassing on our land said he trespasses. Same spot where one of my box stands was knocked over.
Not much you can do about it unless you catch them in the act and can get the law there while they are breaking the law. Then you have to hope they aren't buddies with the cop.

This same guy would have had a problem with his house burning down around him.

Perhaps we need a running thread of photos of everyone that has trespassers show up on game camera. Sorta like a thread of shame...
