What is the OB's opinion on the following brands of ZTR mowers: Exmark, Gravely, Bad Boy, Hustler?
In the market for a new mower next spring. Looking for heavy residental/light commercial with a 54 or 60 inch deck. Any feedback, positive or negative, with these brands?

Scag or dixie chopper.

We've had our scag tiger cub for about 8 or so years now. My brother had a lawn business in high school, and once i got my license, I took it over. It wasn't a big business, only about 10-15 yards. Change the oil and grease it up once a year, and you will never have to take it to the shop for anything. The only problem we've had was, the belt for the blades popped once, my dad and i changed the belt in less than 45 minutes.

ETA: if you are in the baton rouge/prairieville area, go check out pro power on Airline highway kinda near the industrialplex. Top notch customer service there.

ExMark. I've mowed with gravely, scag, and exmark. Exmark is the smoothest and best cut.
