I have a knife and a flashlight in my purse right now.

I grew up on acreage where we rode horses, fished in the creek and built treehouses when we were told to go play.

I have hidden ATV burns from parents for fearof being told we couldn't ride them again.

I have been woken up by cattle surrounding my house.

Just bought a new house a little too near train tracks so I don't have to live in a neighborhood.

I own camo and boots for functionality not fashion.

I would rather fish than do just about anything else. And no one else baits my hook or takes the fish off.

I have worked in a hardware store.

I won't eat cucumbers or tomatoes from a grocery store but I will eat all I can get my hands on of homegrown.

I don't use recipes to cook and the ingredients change based on availability.

My husband once mentioned not having a truck and I looked at him like he was giving away all of our tools. I can't function without a truck even if it is his daily driver and not mine.

I don't like crowds
My wife's accent
I live on a dead end road in the country.
I eat turnip greens and have raised my own food
I will wear the same shirts until I wear them out or the weather changes.
I had more stick guns than real play guns when I grew up.
I spent way more time outside than inside growing up. Most of the time my mother would get worried wondering where I was at.
I can remember my grandpaw and grandmaw preparing chitlings from fresh killed hogs.
Anything we killed as youngsters my grandmaw would cook it if we cleaned it.
I killed my first deer at night when I was 13.
I cooked a many birds over an open fire that was killed by a BB gun.
I could keep going.........

I don't think I own anything newer than 4 years, when it comes to shirts or pants. I've got a few pair of carhartt pants I've had for 5 years.

- I own a 4x4 truck
- I was raised in freaking Gardner, LA on 30 acres surrounded by 50,000 acres of Kistachie National Forest.

My home town doesn't have a stop light, hell there's not a stop light in our entire county.

I own 2 trucks, one is on concrete blocks

I know the difference between ho and hoe

Even though I've seen the bright lights of the big city, sitting outside staring into the endless night sky and stars at my parents place provides all the lights I need to see at night

When the 911 system came online a few years ago, the road was named after us. Didn't even have a name before that.
