How clear is the water you were fishing? Them boys are dark...except for that sac-au-crap

Water was clean and dark. I rarely find crappie together in one spot for whatever reason. A few of those had eggs in them.

Memories indeed. When we were little kids we'd help Dad scale them, and when it was done, Mom was standing by with the hose to make sure we didn't drag any of that into the house.
