Went to Cocodrie for specs/reds. Mostly fished Moss Bay.

Stayed at Boudreaux's. Wouldn't recommend.

One friend had to bring his son back home, chest pains, ended up in hosp, still there.

Next morning other friend hooked his own thumb removing first spec. We fished for 3 more hours with hooked thumb, then to urgent care for removal.

Listened to LSU beat UF on radio mostly, fished some more and too late... too hard on my old eyes to see after dark.

Fished a little Sunday morning then trailer issues on the way home.

About 30 specs, 10 red, 3 sheephead and too many interesting events, but nowhere I'd rather be... need to venture to other areas next trip. (next weekend)

Still learning...

That's a hell of a weekend, trailer trouble going home is the worse thing too.

Yea, the son of bitch actually came off the ball... while passing over that bridge on hwy 56.

Chains held, messed up my tailgate a little.

Still not sure of the culprit.

Three of us shot four does in Arkansas. I got one nice young one. Tenderloin is on the menu for tomorrow.

Moved a tripod after nearby timber was cut, refilled feeders. I will be spec fishing until the season opener in November.

This. My son got him a doe with my FIL watching. FIL was super pumped to watch it go down. Gonna have some backstrap tomorrow night.

That happened to me leaving one morning near City Park. The boat reared up and I thought it was gone, but the chains did their job.

In my case it was a failure to latch down the ball coupler; I wish I could have blamed the equipment.

Can you give us a rough pucker factor on this?

Went night fishing off a buddy's dock in Lake P. Caught 15 or so keepers and a bunch more throwbacks

It was a good evening though. It had been a while since I've gone night fishing, so I was glad to get out there

7/10. It was intense, but very short duration. I usually have a little adrenalin flowing when headed out fishing, but I got an extra shot that morning.

I know the feeling. I worked for Taylor Rental in Monroe when I was right out of HS doing delivery of equipment among other mundane tasks. I guess with me being a punk arse kid, boss said any trailer had to be locked down by the mechanic before leaving the yard. Well I had to deliver a portable generator to Sterlington and damn if that fricker didn't come off not only the ball, but the bumper too. Guess the old man forgot about the chains. It actually passed me.

I was like, damn, I am glad I am not responsible for this. It went into a ditch with no casualties.

7 squirrels and a big hog on Saturday. Porker took two rounds of 00 buckshot to the side of the head and still ran across the creek.
