Is it possible? If so, what's the best thing to use...TIA

The leather feels like suede. Same thing?

On rough there is a spray in the same brand. You could also melt the mink oil and dab it on. Hit the stitching hard.

I got a brand new pair of Red Wings several years back. An old black guy I worked with said get a can of cheap Silicone Lube and soak the boots with the whole can. It worked pretty damn good. Not completely waterproof, but repelled the water very well.
I doubt anything you do will make them 100% waterproof.
Good Luck.

put deer tallow in a coffee can, place beside fire, melt tallow, use rag or paper towel to mop boots.

General purpose epoxy from hardware store.

I aways use sno seal. Works very well. I've used a hair dryer to apply it and put boots in the oven as well. Both worked.

I've used sno seal also. Works great. I use a pair of leather work gloves to apply it. Then after your done you got water proof glove

I think sno seal works better than mink oil.

I always used mink oil in the past and had good results.
Mardi Gras 2010 we were in NO. It was colder than withch's tits (of which we saw few) and rained several days. Long story short I couldn't find mink oil in any local stores (the two I checked while drunk on bloody mary's) so I used good ole vasoline on my old weathered insulated boots. I rubbed it in generously and then applied the hotel blow dryer and repeated. Worked damn well I must say.

after checking out this thread I ordered some sno seal on amazon for about 6 bucks, microwaved a small bit of it in a bowl to make it easier to spread
-spread on great
-water proofed and conditioned great
-it did darken the leather a tad bit but i was okay with this for the shoes and boots i did it with
after i did my one pair of work boots i did it to just about all my leather shoes, belts and misc. things to condition the leather
