I used the external bleach tubing and a gallon of bleach while pressure washing my driveway.

After about 2.5 hours of washing there was minimal if any gone from the gallon. Is it normal that it barely sucks any through the tube or did I do something wrong hooking it up?

there is usually a way to adjust how much you are sucking by turning a valve of some kind.

Use chemical injector tip while applying detergent/bleach, etc.

I'd stay away from using bleach while pressure washing. Change the tip on your wand and use the pressure over the bleach.

I have always heard and practiced not to use any of the attachments for a pressure washer that suck up cleaners etc, and have been strongly cautioned to never use bleach through them?????

What was the reasoning to not use any chemicals specifically bleach?

I have heard that the cleaners etc are hell on the pumps, clog up tubes, etc. I am no expert on it that is just what I have been told, I have a good pump sprayer and that combo works for me

I spray it on with a pump up sprayer after I'm done pressure washing but, still wet. Mildew is gone within minutes.

I use Tide laundry soap on the surface if it is really dirty. Wet it and working in with a push broom. Then rinse.

Bleach does bad things to copper. Your pressure washer's pump is loaded with brass parts. Brass is an alloy of copper.

Use Jomax concentrate through a pump up sprayer then wash off.

I spray Jomax, hit it with a long handle brush and rinse with hose.

I will try the Jomax before I wash the driveway again

Thank you for the info.

Looks like I will find another use for my bleach

Do you mix Jomax with bleach and water per the instructions? Or just spray the concentrate?

I thought that Jomax was a bleach accelerator and would not do too much good by itself?...

mix per instructions and this solution can clean anything free of mildew. brush on, get some goggles and some clothes you don't mind trashing afterwards.

when you mix Jomax with bleach it works great but whatever you do DO NOT spray windows or around doors with rubber or plastic gaskets - ti will eat it up

Apply the bleach using a sprayer that attaches to a garden hose. Those have adjustments that regulate how much of the bleach is sucked up by the water passing thru the spray head. I believe the original use of those is to spray weed killer or fertilizer.

This. The bleach doesn't work especially well using the tank on the pressure washer.

I second the comments re: Jomax. Spray 5 or more minutes before you pressure wash using a bug sprayer. The results will be very noticeable. Jomax reacts with the bleach and becomes something that works better on mold/mildew and doesn't kill plants.

I cleaned mine yesterday.

Used "Crud Cutter" mixed 3 parts water to 1 part Crud Cutter, sprayed it on my vinyl with a potato pump, hit it with the hose pipe and it looked as good as new. We get about 80-90 P.S.I. out the hose pipe so that with a good brass nozzle and you don't need a pressure washer. Left mine in the shed.
