A man accused of shooting at two Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries agents in May has been convicted on two counts of attempted first-degree murder. The News-Star (https://tnsne.ws/1OKEhVp ) reports a jury voted 10-2 to convict 29-year-old Luke Hust Thursday after four hours of deliberation.

The jury also found Hust guilty of illegal possession of a firearm. Scott Bullitt, an agent shot and paralyzed, testified Thursday along with agent Josh Harris, who was shot at during the encounter. Bullitt said Thursday he will never walk again. He recounted the events and became emotional at the end discussing his prognosis.

Hust was arrested after a four-hour manhunt that brought more than 100 officers from almost a dozen agencies into Ouachita Parish.

What's the max sentence for attempted? It should be as severe as if you had actually done it, but I hope he goes away a long time.

Cut his legs off, stick them in the crab traps and then feed him the crabs from them raw.

Make him serve his life out in a wheelchair.

Attempted murder of an enforcement officer should be the death penalty.

If he's a first felony offender, attempted murder with a firearm is 15-50 years

first felony offender

IIRC his illogical reasoning for the shooting was prior convictions and going to do time anyway for possessing a firearm.

I also think the 2 fricks that voted not guilty should do his time with him.

I think he had prior felonies. 15 years isn't nearly enough for what he did to that man.

From another article they were pulled over because the driver was thought to be impaired. If I remember right the accused was a felon in possession of a firearm and would have been taken in. If I remember correctly the piece of shite made a statement that killing both of those guys was his only options. May he die in prison in a harmful manor.

If he is a double felony offender he is facing 25-99

If he is a triple felony offender he is facing 33.3-99

If he is a quad, 50-life
