My brother and a buddy went out yesterday and destroyed them. Best 5 were all over 5 lbs, anchored with a 7.2. They caught over 20, and kept 12. WM red flukes between beds, black and blue jigs were producing the big females, shell crackers, and war mouths were pulling the bucks. Just thought I would share with everyone. Oh, they were fishing south Tx side. Im going to try and get out there this weekend, but forcast is calling for rain so who knows...

I think they were rigging a hook in the bream and catching buck bass.

Sorry wasnt at my CPU, I think the war mouth is made by big bite baits, not sure who makes the shell cracker. The males guarding the beds were very aggressive so plastics that imitate other fish were working on them.

Better?

Y'all have been stroking them on Toledo this year. Wish I knew the South end better.

Some dude showed those to me at Indian Creek last week. Was in an aluminum boat with a Big Bite sticker on the side.

Almost thought you had met my bro, but no stickers on his boat...

Love the south end, never had much luck up north. Hard to plan a trip when you know you can go south and load up...
Water temps were low to mid 60's.
Yes sight fishing, caught a lot between beds on flukes though.

I always saw those baits on the rack and laughed. When he pitched on in my boat I could not believe someone was using it.
