There's a canal on the back side of Lanans that holds big fish. Just hard to get in and out of it...

Try a black sweet beaver. That's my go to bait when the water is dark...

Ive competed in that tournament before. I left Toledo Bin that day with 70 lbs. Caught a 11 pound striper

I caught this one literally 100 yards from the Lanan launch about 2 years ago. Take the first right into that pocket as your heading back to the main lake... She was on the main lake point at the entrance to the pocket. She ought to weigh 10 lbs. by now if some coonass hasn't skinned her out.

Caught 8 today. Fishing was tough with the rain . Had a 7 and one 3+.
Big one caught on a spinner bait and one was caught on a red one knocker.
Someone close to us caught a 11+

Leaving tomorrow morning and will be there through next Sunday, I imagine the backs of the creeks are still as muddy as they were 2 weeks ago, lookin forward to a good trip
