We usually catch big fish.

It varies from year to year and how much water we have but a normal night is 4 packs of worms a piece, several on crankbaits and loading up at day light.

I would like to go out and fish more main lake flats and humps.

Any use for a jig (black/blue/purple is all I have) or a +/- 1 oz punch rig?

Just trying to delegate something for my heavy rod with 50# braid....

Yeah if you want to flip deep in the buck brush and have the power to pull it out. A tube works good to.

I got some new updates this evening that just confirmed what has been said. Good fish, and a lot of them, in the brush.

Never used crank baits at night. What color?
Speed worms and usually Ol Monster worms.
2 years ago we used only red/black speed worms, another buddy used red shad.
Last year Africa Special Ol Monster

We fish almost always humps.
My buddy seems to know hundreds of them...

I killed them last year on this. They were hitting it so hard, almost yankng the rod out of your hands.

This is where I hear of the big sacks coming from. I fish points and banks near deep water.

Humps are better on full moons.
We fish them on new moons but if the fish don't bite we hit points and docks...

Got 2 this size. 2 a lil smaller. 1 big arse black sac au lait.
5-6 small throw backs.

This was 4.15lbs
On a white Chatter bait.
It's been 50° in the morn. Cold for me. All I brought was warm weather gear.
Had to patch work some warm clothes.
I included a foot for your viewing pleasure.

I wasn't planning on pulling that far South. How's the water look down there? I was thinking about trying mid lake areas.

Have no clue. Tired of Vernon, its real stained from the rain Sat. Usually Toro is pretty clear, but with the high water it might be a little stained. No matter, no care, we fishing. Dooley's a novice to bass fishing. He fished with me in the trny. Missed a couple that might of put us in the money. He did catch a 3ozer. He's trying to learn the ways of the plastic. Don't know if I'll have cell service, I'll call you for a report. Good luck.

Yeah, ya'll too. I have AT&T and I get pretty good service out there (don't tell my wife that though).

I fished San Miguel weekend before last and it was chocolate milk almost all the way out to the main lake. It looked good around North Toledo Bend State Park and Blue Lake. I don't think the most recent rain had much effect so there should be even more "clean" water tomorrow.
