Shallow over grass.
Literally out of people yards around army rec and pirates cove.
9 of 10 gates are open with the lake level at 172.9 which will stay steady after the 2 more inches of rain we got today.

Long story short. If you can get here and fish... do so. Fishing is amazing right now!!!

My 3 buddies fished Friday and caught 36 keepers, I had to come home.
Same pattern, grass in 3-7 feet, some fish caught in buck brush flipping.
Last year at this time we were killing them in deep water 8-20 feet.
Caught a 9 in 19 feet.
What a difference a year makes......

Just my luck a cold front is expected Friday and Saturday. I'm headed out in the morning. I'll be fishing North so I'm sure flipping will be on the agenda.

Fish were being caught north, big ones. Flipping we caught the biggest fish this week...
Green pumpkin red speed craw dye the pitchers chartreuse.
Morning were spinner baits, no good bites until mid morning and late afternoon.
If the water clears go to watermelon red and dye it.
I saw the 11.69 caught on the wm red fluke.
Fish are in bunches so move around until you hit them.
Garlic spray was a must.
After a few fish re tie your hook, lost 2 giant fish because I didn't...
If you get some extra time try Sapavado's on the right bank in the brush.
Caught several 5 lb. Fish there one afternoon.

You talking about the landing on San Patricio? Across the creek from there towards Holley Point?

Only been there once. I think it said Sapavado's at the landing. A lot of people set lines there for catfish. There's a few house and campers back there.

My buddy there just texted me there were five fish caught yesterday over 10 lbs. 2 were caught in the TOBI

Is it "Sepulvados" launch?

Im so fired up about getting out there on Friday morning.

Just racking my brain on what I should throw besides spinnerbait and wacky senko.

My camp is the last bunch of camps on the right. When the fish are in there it is very good but we haven't had this kind of water in a long time. Across from the landing is really good too, some big sacks have came out of there. I have a couple spots in mind I will hit.

I use braided line while flipping, learned my lesson on using mono.

I only use mono I should keep a braid for flipping. Water was muddy when we fish d there but the fish hit none the less. We caught 17 keepers in an afternoon and big chunks..

Got back late last night.
Fished 1/2 day Thursday, all day Friday , and only 2 hours yesterday before the rain started back.
40/50 keepers and about 20 just less than 14 inches. All but maybe 1 or 2 in less than 5 feet of water. Only 2 over 6lbs, around 12 between 4/6lbs.
Chug bug, wacky, and swim bait. Very aggressive bite on any of the above. I was literally throwing on people's yards and working it back, some good fish were in 10 inches of water. Rained from Friday night until late Saturday, so we picked up and left a day early.
