I fished from the bank mostly. We did more work at the camp than anything.

I miss Gratia, but that ball had some really negative effects on me and my guests/friends.

This year was the first year in probably seven or eight years that I didn't go. Just got burned out.

Heading up to the camp this weekend.

Mostly work but I'll wet a line.
I'll report back.

Someone caught a 10.16 yesterday.

That's the 20th 10+ lbs. bass caught since last May with the pre spawn and spawn still to go for "the year".

We catch a lot of catfish out of here but never bass fished. What the hell have I been missing?

Some guy caught like a 50+ lbs. 5 fish stringer in a tournament about 8 or 10 years ago, and for the next 3 years there were 5 times as usual bass boats out any given day. It just got fished really hard and all the pressure made the fishing even more difficult. It's not a big lake compared to Toledo though...

Ahh, didn't know that. We usually hit it up in june/july when it's hot as frick and we really don't see many other boats out there. Doesn't help that it's really low right now too.

If it's low it's a good time to pick up all those snagged baits off of low lying timber/trees. J/K.

Don't overlook the Slaughter Creek area this time of year. Mid-lake south. Stay shallow.

You may fail shallow, but - you never know.

You never know...

Good fishing.

I've had some amazing evenings in there this time of year. When that sun gets in the western sky and it warms up in there, I've caught a lot of bass!

I went this year. It has been a couple of years since we have been. Always enjoy it. Got to see a lot of old friends.

Caught them piled up on a point in there. No big ones, but every other cast you had a fish.
