All the land there is wide open. Just need to get maps of the area that show land owners of each parcel or knock on doors. Have never been told no. They arent anal asses like people here. Most dont want a thing and dont even have fences.

Sandhill cranes should 100% count if they're legal where you hunt. I agree on mergansers not counting though.

I don't understand why we can't just have 1 point per bird regardless of species, geese included It's easy and fair for everyone. If it counts for your daily bag limit then it counts in the contest.

Because if I wanted to I could blast a limit of smilies EVERY morning.
