If you're thinking about getting it, do it. I've owned every model of jeep cj and wrangler. I've loved everyone and sold all for good to equal money that paid for them originally. In some cases more.

The old, you're going to have to work on it stuff is BS unless you want to mod. The new jeeps ride like cars now. The are not anywhere close to the stiff suspension they used to have.

LOL, okay Dick, you paid 1K less than $45k.

Like I said MOST are priced $45k to $57k DEPENDING on what options you go for.

I'll go even further to say to can go up to $60 and $70K...even $100k if you go to places like Starwood Motors in Dallas.

Its all in the options. So to reiterate $45 plus can be spent on a JK Rubi.

to answer some questions asked, I'm coming from a 600awhp evo that I've dropped over $15k into so I definitely look forward to modding this thing.

they aren't $50k...dno who said it but they start at $34k and have about $2k worth of markup to work with.

I plan on joininh a jeep club with a friend of mine who just bought a sahara. I want to be able to throw the bikes on, put the gear in, take it to the middle of nowhere and setup camp while hitting a bunch of jeep trails. lift, big tires, and eventually hemi swap will be in store once out of warranty.

if you are planning on moding it, buy used. I know where you can even get a few built hemi models for 35-40k. there are too many built used models not pass them up. more so, since dealers are being stingy about dealing on them, because they know someone will buy it.

check out the jeep forums. There was a LS1 model with spider 9's and a shite ton of other stuff a while back, sold for 42k. another guy over in TX had a 5.7 hemi model with a shite ton of poison spyder stuff, selling for 35k.

The Penstar and tranny combo is awesome as well, i'd rather have a hemi or an ls1

No factory Jeep Wrangler costs more than $50k...even with all options. If you're paying anywhere near that price, from a Jeep dealership, for a Wrangler, then it has aftermarket parts added to it by the dealership and it is in all likelihood a ripoff. Stock Rubicons don't cost $50k, not sure where you're coming up with those numbers. $45k is probably top dollar msrp.

You keep running your mouth and all that comes out is bullshite. Yeah Starwoodmotors.com has a jeep listed at 130k too. The OP wants to buy a rubi from a dealership so take your unknowledgeable shite talk somewhere else. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, except you because your opinion is shite.

How many dodge/jeep/Chrysler dealerships do you know that waste money installing aftermarket parts on a factory vehicle before it's even sold? Why would they do anything to a vehicle that could potentially effect branding and warranty?

Using his logic, I could go into an F150 thread and say they regularly sell for $60,000.00+ because some dealerships carry Regency F-150s that sell for $60,000+

So I could tell yall about air/fuel ratios, boost lbs/min, waste gate duty cycles, etc all day....but when it comes to this shite I'm

I spec'd out a Sport S and it comes with a Dana 30 in the front and a 44 in the rear. What's the difference between a 30 and 44?

Would a sport s be more worth it if I'm going to change the suspension out anyway?

The new JKs are no Toyotas but they are the best Jeep ever made despite what the CJ and TJ owners say.

Subjective, but the CJ is the best looking Jeep of all time.

The 4 door version on small tires looks like an old Volkswagen Thing with the top removed. Needs the right stance.

Just
Empty
Every
Pocket

That being said I've been leaning toward buying one as my run around vehicle. My wife wants one now. I'm thinking Jeep or Toyota.

There are a ton of them on Ebay loaded out for under $41K.

What ever you decide you had better make sure that the dealership you buy from has a good service department and make sure if there is anything wrong with the vehicle and it needs to stay on the shop overnight that they give you something else to drive.

My brother had a 2011 Jeep Sahara 4dr and had several issues with it. He didn't have a problem with the issues on the Jeep but a couple required the dealership to keep it usually waiting for parts and they would not give him a loaner. Really sucked for him and made it a nightmare. So much so he finally got pissed enough to sell the Jeep.

It would not be my primary driver. I want one to go to my kids ball games, maybe pull the boat to the lake or a quick hunt one evening. I have a truck now but looking to get better gas mileage.

I'm not worried about spending money. Most things I can do myself and a lot of problems can be prevented just like with any vehicle. Trust me when I tell you, owning a jeep..any jeep..will be far less headache than owning a turbo car.

Never owned a turbo'd vehicle...but I believe this to be 100% true. Always a guy on one of the forums I post on having issues. And not just turbos, just any built vehicle in general...fuel injected hot rods are ridiculously expensive hobbies

I've changed my rods twice, bearings 3 Times, chewed through twin disc clutches like candy, rebuilt the head a few times, etc. I can tear down my motor in my sleep now...and I'm not happy about that. I was at 800awhp for about a month and downsized the turbo because it scared the shite out of me. I'm sitting at 600awhp now on e85 and ready to sell this thing. my wife said I'm at $16k invested on aftermarket at this point and wants me to get an adult vehicle
its always something though. I can't count how many times I've popped off my lower intercooler pipe @36psi on the interstate. shite sucks when its pouring down rain or 100 degrees outside. just tired of all the extra bs that goes into it.

It's always something. Once the mod bug bites, it's hard to shake. I was driving my dad's Challenger SRT8 in a family trade we did, but he complained about the amount of miles I put on it, so I took my truck back. The second I got my truck back, I bought a tuner and a couple other goodies for it. I also blew a bunch of money on my old 2004 Ram as well.

I came close to buying a C63 AMG not too long ago, but came to my senses and realized I don't need that at age 24 and plus I have a paid for truck...so now I guess I'll just have to wait and save up for toy I can really throw some mods at.
